Hearst Magazines and Halo will debut the Esquire Home Collection of furnishings and accessories at the April Esquire Home Collection will debut at April, 2010 High Point MarketHigh Point Market. The announcement was made this week by Glen Ellen Brown, vice president of Hearst Brand Development and Timothy Oulton, owner and creative director of Halo.

The Esquire Home Collection extends the 77-year-old magazine’s philosophy of “Man at His Best,” a lifestyle of luxury, sophistication and comfort: distressed leathers, neutral twills and tweeds, polished nickel finishes and black glass embellishments. Products will include tailored furniture, upholstery, occasional, home décor and rugs

“The concept behind the collection was to satisfy man’s desire for a unique living space inspired by Esquire’s legacy of style and the highly coveted Signature Space experience,” Brown said. “Collaborating with Halo and their unique lifestyle perspective on luxury furniture and design has enabled us to embark on delivering the ultHaloimate 'man space.'”

Oulton said, “We are incredibly excited to be working with a brand as iconic and established as Esquire. We feel the Esquire design philosophy and Halo’s masculine style combine to create the ultimate men’s collection."

The Halo Group, founded by Major Philip Oulton, began life as Halo Antiques in 1976. Major Oulton loved fine furniture and had an eye for attractive antique pieces, which he bought from local people and then sold within the UK and throughout the world. His love of beautiful furnishings has been passed on to his sons, Tim and Charlie, who now run the company and continue the family tradition of supplying furniture inspired by the company’s British heritage
